  • - A framework for creating dance work with young people

What's it all about?

Hopes and Dreams is a creative devising and delivery package that gives a framework of ideas, tasks and resources for creating a bespoke show to take into schools, and then to use that show as a springboard for young people’s creativity. Created by Temujin Gill and his Grounded Movement company alongside Scanners Inc, Hopes and Dreams draws on expressive writing, dance, spoken word and rap to create a dynamic and interactive environment where young people can explore their own thoughts and ideas associated with a range of current social, identity and cultural themes. It gives them the opportunity, pathways and skills for developing and creating their own expressive dance work in a positive and supportive environment. The Covid 19 pandemic has isolated humanity and this project is about supporting young people to express themselves.

Who is it for?

This box is designed to support professional dance artists and makers to work in schools, and for schools and colleges to create their own bespoke work with and for young people. This work can then be shared in schools or online.
